Literacy

Intervention

Does this sound like you?

  • My child is falling behind in their reading.

  • I think my child has a learning difference or challenge.

  • My child has been diagnosed with a language-based learning disability.

  • I have a child who has been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD.

  • My child struggles with organization, emotional control, initiating tasks, staying on task or managing time.

If you answered yes to any of the above, you may be wondering which way to turn.  You might be tired, frustrated, confused and scared.  I hear you.  You have come to the right place.  Try to take a second and BREATHE.  I can help and if I can't, I can most definitely help you find the right people who can.

It's important to remember that your child IS CAPABLE and with the right intervention combined with the right support, they CAN make great strides in their learning.

My Mission

By creating and maintaining a safe, fun and supportive learning environment, I believe that both academic and behavioural success can be reached.

I consider it a privilege to be a part of my students' learning journeys.  I take pride in being an anchor point for my students and providing a supportive and encouraging partnership WITH them.  I stand shoulder-to-shoulder with my students and look at the challenges ahead and guide them towards success.  I ask questions, I help them discover their own unique abilities and I champion them with every incremental success.

I believe that academic success, while important, is only half the picture.  I believe that true learning is only possible when one feels safe, supported and encouraged.  That's why I weave social, emotional and mindful support into each lesson.  If the need arises, I am equipped to address difficult or tricky emotions.  I encourage my students to be with every emotion they're having and to navigate them with honesty and acceptance.

It is my goal to help my students feel SEEN and FULLY SUPPORTED as I guide them towards academic success.
